PBO fibers feature a smooth surface, poor interfacial adhesion, and high chemical inertness, making it difficult for conventional processes to achieve effective bonding between fibers and metal coatings. Through innovative physical methods, Chengdu Sechin Advanced Material Science & Technology Co., Ltd. has independently developed a proprietary PBO fiber surface treatment technology, which significantly enhances the interfacial bonding strength between PBO fibers and metal coatings. A dual-layer physical vapor deposition process is then applied to form a uniform, stable and robust metal coating on the fiber surface, producing high-performance metal-coated PBO fibers. Finally, the XCFBT Series PBO EMI shielding sleeving is manufactured via precision braiding technology.
